What motor components do you offer?
We offer a re-chargeable, lithium ion battery motor to lift/lower shades in our collections. The battery comes with two control options: wand control with manual switches to raise and lower the shade or remote control.
Although the base motor is the same, the motors are not interchangeable, as the motor control head is different to accommodate either the wand connector or the radio frequency (RF) receiver.
In both cases, the motor and battery are located inside a sealed tube and the customer will never need to access the battery to recharge it. The motor is rated to lift up to 15 pounds.

How does the wand motor work?
The wand contains a wire that connects the switches in the wand directly to the motor. The wand has an up, down, and stop button. Simply press the button corresponding to the direction you would like the shade to go and the stop button when the shade reaches your desired height.
There are upper and lower stop limits programmed at the factory, so the shade will stop when it hits the limit. There is also the option to program a middle or "favorite" stop limit.

What battery does the remote use?
Both remotes are operated by a lithium metal CR2450 battery. The battery comes installed but will need to be replaced when it runs out of power.
Why would I sell the wand motor instead of remote motor?
The wand motor is less expensive than the remote motor because it does not have RF programming and hardware - it is just a switch on the end of a wire, making it a more cost effective solution.
The best way to think of a wand is as an alternative to cordless and clutch shades. Two definitive advantages of the wand are that you do not need to drill into your trim to install a cord tensioner and it is easy to reach the wand in taller windows, which can be a problem with cordless shades.
