1½" Motorized Headrail

We are excited to announce a specification improvement for motorized shades ordered from the Inspired Shade Natural Shade Collection. Starting December 30th, 2025, all motors except Power Lift will use a hardware system that fits on a 1½" head rail. This includes motors from the Inspired Shades and Smart Home Collection motor programs. 

With this system change, the motors themselves remain exactly the same, maintaining their programming and operating instructions. 

What’s new is the hardware system that attaches the motor to the headrail. This updated design is more compact, allowing our motors to fit on a 1½ inch head rail.

The 1½" headrail is perfect for installations where space is limited, like inside shallow window frames. Because the system is more compact, it also helps contribute to a quieter motorized experience.
