Please note our decorative metal bottom bar option is now limited to a maximum of 98". It was previously available to order up to 110". 

This limitation has been put into place to help ensure every shade meets our quality standards. Bottom bars with widths wider than 98" are difficult to produce without flaws in the finishing process. 

This applies to all 3 colors: Antique Brass, Black Nickel, and Satin Nickel. 

If you have a current open quote in Touchpoint for an Inspired Roller Shade order with a Decorative Metal Bottom Bar wider than 98",  please revalidate the quote before sending the order through to ensure it aligns with the new specifications.

The Exact Lift​™ Pro will be available to order December 30, 2025! Designed for open roll roller shades, Exact Lift Pro eliminates the need for a raceway bar.

Please note, Exact Lift Pro is available for open roll shades only. Our standard Exact Lift and Easy Lift control options will remain available for open roll and cassette shades. Exact Lift Pro will be a free control option. 

Tension Wheel

Exact Lift Pro offers an improved way to adjust shade tension. Tension wheels are located on the spring side of the shade. Tension wheels can be adjusted to reduce or add tension.

Because Exact Lift Pro Shades do not have a raceway bar to hold the tension on the spring, we advise reviewing our updated installation instructions before purchasing.

 Updated Sample Book
The sample book has been updated with a refreshed design and additional sales tools including:

• Color component card. 
• Collection look book. 
• Additional swatch label information. 

New sample book orders* can be placed by visiting the Inspired Shades website. New books are available for $290 USD and $375 CAD. 

*New orders will ship with the next round of sample book stock arriving in June. You will receive tracking details once your order has been shipped. In the meantime, you can continue selling from the old book without issue, as all fabrics remain available.

Privacy Channels (US only)
Launching April 8, 2025
Starting April 8, Privacy Channels will be available to order. Privacy Channels help close the gaps on the sides of the shades. 

Please be sure to note that while this option helps block some light, it should not be considered a total light blocking solution. If a total light block solution is required, we do not recommend this product.

Privacy Channel Details 
Privacy channels are PVC side channels that install to the sides and sill of your window opening. They are designed to enhance privacy for roller shades.

Orders include all necessary components to assemble into a U configuration* for the sides and sill of your window opening. *Your privacy channels will arrive as L pieces which stack together to form the U shape.

The shade raises and lowers within these channels, minimizing visibility through the edges and providing a more enclosed appearance. 

Our privacy channels can be ordered with any shade configuration to suit your needs. However, for the best performance and seamless operation, we recommend pairing them with a square cassette, heat-sealed hem bar, and remote motorized control. 

Channels provide coverage of 1 5/8”. 

Privacy channels ship from our production facility in Ohio, and will arrive separately from shades. ​

​We are excited to announce that Roller and Roller Roman shades ordered with Smart Home Collection lithium ion motors will now be shipped with the V2 motor.

The V2 lithium ion motor offers new design and operational features including a USB charging port in the motor head, soft open and close functions, and battery check function using a remote.

We are in the process of switching all of our factories to the V2 Smart Home Collection motor and will provide an update for our Woven Wood and Dual Sheer shade factories when the change date has been confirmed. 

Chargers
Shades ordered with V2 motors and chargers will be shipped with the Inspired Shades Collection's standard 10' or 16' USB chargers. 

Additional motor chargers are available for purchase directly through the Smart Home Collection and include solar chargers. Solar chargers are no longer available for direct purchase from the Inspired Shades Collection. 
 
Operation and Controls
The programming and operation of V2 motors matches V1 and can be controlled with the same hand held remotes or wall switch as well as the Smart Home Collection hub.
