Fabric Roman Shades Production Update

Since the official launch of our Fabric Roman Shade Collection in August of last year, we have seen a huge rate of growth, and sales have exceeded all forecasts we gave the factory. 

That has resulted in extended production times, as it takes time to recruit and train sewing staff. Fabric roman shades require a lot of skilled labor and attention to detail, but the factory has also been working with machinery suppliers to design and build custom automated equipment to streamline and speed up production. 
 
New, automated equipment for cutting fabrics and attaching rings is now being installed, along with new inspection stations to allow us to continue to ramp up production. This is a significant investment, which the factory is making to be able to meet growth needs, and we are very excited for the future of this program.
 
In the short-term, the factory has seen some impact from the recent spread of covid in their local area, and while they have maintained their production output well, they have not been able to grow as they would have liked. Starting next week, they will also go into their annual shutdown for Chinese Spring Festival. 
 
As a result, for the immediate future, we are extending lead times for new fabric roman shade orders to 11 weeks.

The factory will return from their Spring Festival shutdown on 1/30/23. We are confident they will catch up quickly and resume their growth momentum upon their return.
