MOTOR IMPROVEMENTS

Motor Improvements
We are pleased to announce we have been working with our motor manufacturer to reduce the noise level on our standard Inspired Shades remote control motor. The improved motors are now being used for Roller Shades and will eventually be the standard for all Inspired Shades Collections.

Motor programming and operating instructions have not been changed. 

Reduced noise level is the result of the following improvements: 

1. The engineering of the motors has been generally reworked to allow quieter operation. 
2. An insulating silicon disk has been added between the motor head and the control side bracket, which helps reduce the noise of the motor in operation. 
3. The standard speed of the motor has been reduced from 28 RPM to 16 RPM. See below for more details. 

16 RPM Motor Speed
Reduced motor speed allows an overall quieter operation. While our standard speed for the new motors is 16 RPM, motors can be manually increased to 22 and 28 RPM by following the instructions linked below.

In the case of motorized remakes, the factory will increase the speed of the motor used in the remade shade to 28 RPM to match the original order.
