WCMA Standards 

The new WCMA standard for corded window shades comes into effect on June 1, 2024. As a result, we are making important changes to the configuration of our products. 

Fabric Roman Shades and Natural Shades
 
According to the new standard, we will not be able to ship Fabric Roman Shades and Natural Shades with cord locks after June 1st. To make sure we are in full compliance with the new standard, we will stop taking new orders for cord lock shades starting April 15, 2024.   
 
We will be issuing new price grids which will go into effect March 1, 2024. The new grids will include cordless as the base control option. Clutch control will remain available at no additional charge. 
 
For cord lock shade orders placed between March 1, 2024 and April 15, 2024, we will apply a $99 discount to the retail prices issued on March 1st to offset the added cost of cordless. 
 
We are also finalizing the development of our cordless TDBU option and will have this style available by the April 15th cut off.
 
After April 15, 2024, we will not be able to remake malfunctioning shades with cord locks, and we will offer to either repair these shades or to replace them with cordless or clutch control. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to determine the best outcome for your customer. 
 
All Collections 
 
We will also be introducing a new tensioner for clutch control in all our shade collections, as our current tensioner is not compliant with the new standard. We will start shipping shades with the new tensioner as soon as we have inventory, which will be before June 1, 2024. We will make a separate announcement about this change as we approach the date.
